Creative Student Art Contest 2020

At Royal & Langnickel, we believe encouraging children’s creativity and helping to support our schools’ art programs are the most important things we can do for the art community. That’s why each year, we invite students from around the country to share their creative talents by entering our annual K-12 Art Contest where students have a chance to win prizes for themselves as well as for their classrooms.

This year’s theme is: Outer Space

Student Prizes

Grade Levels: Exceptional Needs, K-3, 4-6, 7-9 & 10-12
(1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes will be awarded to each grade category)
1st $250.00 + $250.00 retail Royal Brush Gift Certificate
2nd $100.00 + $100.00 retail Royal Brush Gift Certificate
3rd $50.00 + $50.00 retail Royal Brush Gift Certificate

Classroom Prizes

$250.00 retail Royal Brush Gift Certificate will be awarded to the school of each winning student.

How to Enter

Click on the entry form button below to print the form. Fill it out completely and attach it to the back of the artwork. Then mail the artwork to the address on the order form.

2020 Contest submission period closed on February 1st, 2020

Rules

Must be painted on a 11"x14" surface.
Paint must be applied with a brush.
Can be painted with any type of paint.
Must be the student's own personal design
(No adult or second person help is allowed).
One submission per student.
Paintings will be judged on:

Originality
Color Usage
Skill

Subject should relate to "Outer Space"

Students must be endorsed by an art teacher in a school system.
Contest will be judged by an impartial jury and all decisions will be final.
Winning paintings become property of Royal Brush and may be viewed at www.royalbrush.com.
Royal Brush reserves the right to use winners paintings in ads and promotional materials.
Non-winning paintings can be returned if supplied with prepaid self-addressed container.
